Josh... your sister is alive

Well Josh I do send you e-mails and I have a blog so you can's say that you wonder if I'm alive! You're brothers on the other hand.... So mom and dad can see that I do write you I'm posting it here so that I don't get another call from mom or e-mail from dad chastising me!

Life is good. I've had a real low key weekend which is kinda nice once in a while. We had stake conference today the theme was service.... my new stake pres is rad. He is a dentist and goes on a few dental missions every year. While getting ready for the Saturday night session I burnt my finger really bad on my straightener. I dropped it on accident and out of natural reaction went to catch it and was sad that I did :( I feel asleep with my finger on ice.

I have a fun and busy week ahead.

Monday: traffic school for not making a full and complete stop- hopefully there will be a cute boy I can sit next too!
Tues: Trainer ( I went back to my trainer that I love from Brazil @ Gold's last week- I'm so sore!!)
Wed: PW food party at mom's
Thursday: Trainer and Going to "new moon" the new twilight movie- Jacob( the werewolf) is shirtless most of the movie :)
Friday: Peter Brineholt (local guy) Concert and Braden gets into town that night from Stanford. It'll be fun to catch up with him.

Love life: today I don't really love anyone in particular. I could list about 5 boys that I think are darling but none of them are knocking down my door so moving onward and upward. I would name them but I fear some of them might read this. When one of them figures out how rad I am I'll let you know :)

Love you buddy! Hope its a very fun week.

Love your favorite sister, Meg

the boy I'm going to marry

How cute is he? The girls showed this to me last night at park city and I laughed and was won over immediately... darling! Kylee had a teacher conference (not all teachers only like 1 from each school- she is the best teacher ever!!!) and got this amazing suite that she shared with us :) (Rachelle, Chelsea & I). We met her at the outlets and I happily got a few things including a darling hat I'm wearing as I type. Then we went back to the hotel ordered pizza, got in jammies and had a big girl sleepover. I feel asleep in front of the fireplace, literally. It snowed lightly and it was pretty much magical. I even enjoyed the new Jonas Walmart soundtrack- 6 songs is the perfect amount. Wish I could love them as much as they do because I love those girls! Fun night.

ugly, UGLY Lies

On Sunday I went to chruch and the woman teaching although she had great intentions left many of us feeling yucky. Feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness and hopeless were felt as the tag line of the lesson was " it's all about presentation" ( aka- are you hot? if not no wonder you are single & you don't have a chance!)

Luckily we know better. Elder Jeffrey R Holland in his talk "To The Young Women" said,

"A woman not of our faith once wrote something to the effect that in her years of working with beautiful women she had seen several things they all had in common, and not one of them had anything to do with sizes and shapes. She said the loveliest women she had known had a glow of health, a warm personality, a love of learning, stability of character, and integrity. If we may add the sweet and gentle Spirit of the Lord carried by such a woman, then this describes the loveliness of women in any age or time, every element of which is emphasized in and attainable through the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ."

As someone who didn't get to pick her shape and metabolism I do get to pick who I am as a person. I choose to be a happy beautiful woman and not let satan, the world and media tell me the ugly lies that can so easily creep in.

Grateful

For Andy who carried up my groceries last night and ended up staying and hanging out... we laughed, visited people and even watched a little bit of Justin! Dad who loves us and wants to things together as a family. We went to Brick Oven last night before he left on his 10 business trip. Mom who let a play a joke on her this week... it was way too fun! Hope- the emotion that keeps me going and ensures that all my wildest dreams will come true. Teaching: we had "movie day" today (we watched how flowers reproduce... not that exciting and did I mention I'm more immature then the kids?) and ate popcorn. I had several students that tell me they love me (I don't care if it was only because of the popcorn!) Zumba... I'm on my way right now!

missing my camera

I really miss my camera. It got stolen from my class room so therefore I have zero pics :( Maybe next month I'll get a new one.

Last night my roommate Kara dyed my hair darker. I forgot how great it is to have somebody play with my hair. It relaxes me like nothing else.... I almost fell asleep sitting in a chair in my kitchen. It's a fun change.

I don't think anything is really going on in my life or I'd give you an update.

Cruise with the Family

Normally I'm the one who takes all the pics but... since my camera got stolen I have zero! Sad I know. I didn't really get ready all week except for this night so maybe we're glad there wasn't a camera :) These 2 dashing boys are Ladd and Andy. Jacob brought them and they were delightful.... kinda like brothers not like lovers. ( One day he'll come.... just wasn't any of those days). We laughed real hard and have some good inside jokes that are sure to last at least another 6 months.

Dang the weather! I wish I could've spent more time up on deck soaking in the sun had there been any. The hot tubs did treat us right though. It was an experience to room with the 3 brothers in a tiny room but it was fun. We ordered room service, watched movies, left our parents alone to there own room if you know what I mean and all in all had a good time.

Ready to try an all inclusive next :) Now I'm trying to decide what to plan next. I'll keep ya posted!

Professional Development with the AG department

Today was professional development. This is what I learned about:

- How to measure fat on Cattle, Lambs and Pork
- How to tell if milk is bad for about 15 different reasons
- How to to if an egg is Grade A
- All about parliamentary procedure
- How to rate anthers ( deer, elk, moose)
- That there is a case of something bad going around utah where flys give this sickness to horses and it is way gross... yes pics did come out during lunch!
- That I don't know anything about Agriculture
- That I love the Ag department

and

That I will probably never teach that stuff.... I wasn't raised on a farm and I don't want to measure chicken's openings or know everything about how to slaughter an animal.
