round 1 of birthday pics
Katie Loaded her pics from the party so here are a few to get you started :) I'm very sad because I didn't get a picture with my 18 yr. old boyfriend Chad Clayson ( one of Josh's good friends). We're getting married as soon as he's off the mission in 3 yrs! He is darling and texts me often. Today he sent me a text letting me know he was in Provo thinking of me... sigh! I'm in love!

Birthdays
Well, it happened... 23 yrs ago I was born! I'm excited to tackle a new year. My roomate emily says that the year of 23 is when you relaly figure out who you are so, here is goes! I guess time will tell if that is true. Friday (my birthday) I woke up, took a long spin in my living room and went to work. After I went to my parents where I got bubbles:) thanks mom! (I mocked her for the big bubble stick- but ended up using them and loving them at my swanky, black tie mocktale party. That will be a later post once I get pictures.... sadly my camera was out of batteries at the party but luckily I have roomates! Dad, Mom, Josh and I went to dinner at Macaroni Grill - we had a great time. I love hanging out with the family. I've also learned that I like protein as long as its covered in parmesean and bread crums-YUM!!!! I went home chilled with the roomates, made cupcakes for the party and went to bed.

Embarressing picture of both of us!!!!
SO, I thought I'd post it! Right after snapping this first shot my camera died! I was sad because Brian and Corby were with us. We went to Goodwood- don't recomend it! BBQ-YUCK!!!! It was fun to see them though. I forgot how funny Carly's husband Brian is- combined with Corby I was on the floor rolling with laughter for several hours last night! Fun to see old high school friends that I never hang out with anymore.

Day of Love
Preston
Katie
our cute tables
Emily, Burkley, Sarah
Mark and Skyler
Man we had a blast! We ended up with with about 30ish people. We stole some tables and chairs from the church so everyone could have a seat. Chelsea made this AMAZING salad with a blackberry vinagerette- my new favorite thing to put in my mouth! We had crayons on the table that started a flirting war among everyone. people would write something then draw an arrow on who they wanted the message to go. My favorite was "fax me" thank you Skyler! We decided to just do people from the ward.... that was so fun because everyone recognized each other at leased but we got to know a few people a lot better! Skyler was his sister's wedding planner and that story all won are hearts that night- we were all laughing so hard some of us were crying. I think throwing a large party on valentine's day was the best thing this girl ever could do. It gives all of us single people something fun to look forward too. My favorite part was that everyone stayed after dinner- so much happiness chatting and just loving each others company. Who needs games? I think games were invented for boarding people that can't make good conversation. There is nothing I love more then good food and great conversation!
Our ward also did a fun thing that day I hope to make tradition. They planned a temple trip so I got to do baptisms in the middle of the day. There is no better way to feel loved! I was leaving the temple and my roommate Emily walked in- so fun to see her there! Sure love that woman!
So, Valentine's day was a huge success!

Sick... not for long!!
I went to this party Thursday night leaving my house feeling full of energy and excited for all the fun people I was going to get to be with. two of my favorite people in the world are sisters- Jennifer & Jessica Berrett. They are always fun and have the most incredible stories! They could really put on a historical play just them interacting telling stories of there adventures together. I always leave them in tears because I'm laughing so hard. They just got home from a business trip chaperoning 50 contractors in Cabo- they had great stories. To add to the laughter of the evening I really had to go to the bathroom but didn't want to because it was right off the room everyone was mingling in... I finally got up the bravery and then knocked down the towel bar while taking off my coat. I proceeded to knock it down 3 times before getting out of there- I think I was noticed! Okay, I was forsure noticed... people were yelling "you all right?" So, right in the middle of all of this I get a headache get in the car to go home and realize I don't feel good. I've got a sore throat and have started to feaver. I went home took meds and crashed. I got up the next morning thinking I was going to work, got dressed went to pick up some stuff from mom and crashed on her coach for the day! That night Dave came and took good care of me.... hopefully he isn't sick- I'm just realizing I haven't heard from him sense...opps! I haven't done anything all weekend except from move from my bed to the coach to the bathroom then repeat. I got for more tissues, cough drops and that was about it! Jeremy (uncle) took a chest x-ray and got me a Z pack this morning so I should be good to go in a few days. Thanks for staying extra late after an already long 28 hr. shift!!! ( I did get to see the metro sexual guy he works with who paints his toenails, waxes everything, in anger management classes and occasionally can be seen exiting the sleeping rooms not alone)
I have to better! We're (my roommates and I, okay... I) am throwing a valentines dinner for all of our favorite single friends in the ward. It should be a good time.... at leased no time for feeling lonely.... only loved!!!
