Blindside

For FHE tonight we went and saw Blindside (Mom, Dad, Spencer, Sam, Solita and I) . This was a must see... maybe my favorite movie of all time! It didn't even have a romantic love story in it! It was funny and refreshing and inspiring and lovely and made me cry. I would marry Michael Oher. I want one of those big marshmallows that look unstoppable on the outside. You will love the story and fall in love with all the characters. Go see it and bring me with you!

I loved this part where she read to them. I remember mom reading to us growing up and it's still one of my favorite things ever to be read to. Mom would sit in the hall and all our doors would be open so we could all read whatever chapter book we were into. Dad would yell and say that's enough but usually we could get one more chapter out of her. Love you Mom... thanks for reading to us!

I love hanging with the fam... there is really nothing better. Solita makes me think I might have liked a sister. She is pretty fun. She likes to play little games with us and lays all over us ( she fits right in!) We chased each other down the theater hall and she wouldn't let go of my puffy vest but whenever I would hold onto her jacket she would freak. It was fun.

just want to say thanks

To the really nice guy I interviewed with and promised me a job offer so quickly after the craziness,
To my family who I love and had a great thanksgiving with. We saw Blindside tonight and let me tell you... I think I liked it more than remember the titans! people go see it!!! To Noelle who taught my class, to Braden for the fun and legal help, for Jacob for being man extrodinaire and helping me and the fam with pretty much everything, to the cute boy who has been texting me that I haven't met yet (I'll let you know when I do), To my roommate Kara who got engaged and still asked me how my day was, to ky for putting up with me all the time and loving me still, to my trainer who makes me laughs, to the tv show biggest loser for making me cry and feel like I can do it, to Dane & Ladd for making me feel extra loved at church on sunday and sitting by me, for the guy who did my nails today that made me feel like a girl, to travis & Kristina for calling to see who the job thing was going, for the BYU football team who won!, for Caroline who came and played and is a great listener, for peanut m & m's becasue they're delicious.

this last week was ....

Crazy fun and crazy sad.

First the sad : I am no longer with Bidsync... its a long sad story that maybe one day when everything has settled I'll tell you. I'll miss a lot of my fun co-workers they are great. With that being said I'm praying that I can find a job that will allow me to teach still. If you know of anything I'd love to hear about it. Something better will come up soon right?

Now to the FUN: Thusday night my friends drew and heather came up from SLC and we had super yummy potluck: to die for sweet chili salmon, ginger citrus popcorn balls, yummy pizza with marinated tomotes, feta and olives. I felt boring with my spinich salad. I want to eat with them everynight! Not only was the food amazing but the company was even better. I love being with them. We giggle and enjoy each other and It makes me want to always be around people that love and accept me. It's great to have such great lasting friends.

After that Mom and I went to twilight. Can you say Taylor Lautner? Delicious! Enough said.

Friday night I went to Peter Brionholt with Dane, Brandon and Joanna. Also love these people BIG. After the show we grabbed food at Red Robin. Dane and Brandon are roommates - hard to flirt with 2 roommates at once... I'm only kinda kidding ;)

Saturday I went to The Christms Carol with Braden and Lehi Block... thanks for renting out the theater :) Later on that night Braden and I had a chance to catch up. It was great to chat and laugh and get caught up on what's going on. Always good to see him.

Sunday was Dane's birthday was we had lunch at my house with Joanna, Dane, Brandon, Jacob, Ashley, Chelsea V and Natasha. I brought over mom's plate and stole a table cloth and that was fun to have a place to sit. Normally we are strewn all over the couches and floor.

Today I haven't felt steller so I slept alot. Hoping I feel much better tomorrow... I teach and have about $350 of flowers ordered- I know! FUN!!!

Josh... your sister is alive

Well Josh I do send you e-mails and I have a blog so you can's say that you wonder if I'm alive! You're brothers on the other hand.... So mom and dad can see that I do write you I'm posting it here so that I don't get another call from mom or e-mail from dad chastising me!

Life is good. I've had a real low key weekend which is kinda nice once in a while. We had stake conference today the theme was service.... my new stake pres is rad. He is a dentist and goes on a few dental missions every year. While getting ready for the Saturday night session I burnt my finger really bad on my straightener. I dropped it on accident and out of natural reaction went to catch it and was sad that I did :( I feel asleep with my finger on ice.

I have a fun and busy week ahead.

Monday: traffic school for not making a full and complete stop- hopefully there will be a cute boy I can sit next too!
Tues: Trainer ( I went back to my trainer that I love from Brazil @ Gold's last week- I'm so sore!!)
Wed: PW food party at mom's
Thursday: Trainer and Going to "new moon" the new twilight movie- Jacob( the werewolf) is shirtless most of the movie :)
Friday: Peter Brineholt (local guy) Concert and Braden gets into town that night from Stanford. It'll be fun to catch up with him.

Love life: today I don't really love anyone in particular. I could list about 5 boys that I think are darling but none of them are knocking down my door so moving onward and upward. I would name them but I fear some of them might read this. When one of them figures out how rad I am I'll let you know :)

Love you buddy! Hope its a very fun week.

Love your favorite sister, Meg

the boy I'm going to marry

How cute is he? The girls showed this to me last night at park city and I laughed and was won over immediately... darling! Kylee had a teacher conference (not all teachers only like 1 from each school- she is the best teacher ever!!!) and got this amazing suite that she shared with us :) (Rachelle, Chelsea & I). We met her at the outlets and I happily got a few things including a darling hat I'm wearing as I type. Then we went back to the hotel ordered pizza, got in jammies and had a big girl sleepover. I feel asleep in front of the fireplace, literally. It snowed lightly and it was pretty much magical. I even enjoyed the new Jonas Walmart soundtrack- 6 songs is the perfect amount. Wish I could love them as much as they do because I love those girls! Fun night.

ugly, UGLY Lies

On Sunday I went to chruch and the woman teaching although she had great intentions left many of us feeling yucky. Feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness and hopeless were felt as the tag line of the lesson was " it's all about presentation" ( aka- are you hot? if not no wonder you are single & you don't have a chance!)

Luckily we know better. Elder Jeffrey R Holland in his talk "To The Young Women" said,

"A woman not of our faith once wrote something to the effect that in her years of working with beautiful women she had seen several things they all had in common, and not one of them had anything to do with sizes and shapes. She said the loveliest women she had known had a glow of health, a warm personality, a love of learning, stability of character, and integrity. If we may add the sweet and gentle Spirit of the Lord carried by such a woman, then this describes the loveliness of women in any age or time, every element of which is emphasized in and attainable through the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ."

As someone who didn't get to pick her shape and metabolism I do get to pick who I am as a person. I choose to be a happy beautiful woman and not let satan, the world and media tell me the ugly lies that can so easily creep in.

Grateful

For Andy who carried up my groceries last night and ended up staying and hanging out... we laughed, visited people and even watched a little bit of Justin! Dad who loves us and wants to things together as a family. We went to Brick Oven last night before he left on his 10 business trip. Mom who let a play a joke on her this week... it was way too fun! Hope- the emotion that keeps me going and ensures that all my wildest dreams will come true. Teaching: we had "movie day" today (we watched how flowers reproduce... not that exciting and did I mention I'm more immature then the kids?) and ate popcorn. I had several students that tell me they love me (I don't care if it was only because of the popcorn!) Zumba... I'm on my way right now!
